My scanner does not work how I wish it would.
This is one of 24 pieces that I am submitting to the AP Studio Art test next year; my concentration is in charcoal (however this was created with graphite, and will appear in the "breadth section of my portfolio) and I will be drawing portraits to expand my techniques in rendering facial features and light.
Critique is appreciated, however I cannot make any changes to this particular piece. I will attempt to use any critique you might have in future works.
Details--created with a 2B graphite pencil, tortillion, kneaded eraser, and general sketching paper.

It ended up great! I'm glad that you got this picture done. I must say, it has AMAZING DETAILS. You might as well take the title Detail Master from me (even though, I really lived up to it sadly). Great shading, great details in the hair; way to give this picture life! I'm sure she loved it. I can't wait to see the other 23 pictures if they are as good as this one. And I truely do mean that!
